CONRAD MURRAY VINOVAT DE UCIDEREA LUI MICHAEL JACKSON

Conrad Murray, medicul personal al lui Michael Jackson, a fost găsit vinovat de uciderea involuntară a starului, în urma unui proces care a durat peste o lună.Medicul Conrad Murray, un cardiolog în vârstă de 58 de ani, a fost judecat pentru omucidere involuntară fiind găsit vinovat. Acesta riscă o pedeapsă de până la patru ani de închisoare.

Conrad Murray a fost acuzat că a dat dovadă de o "neglijenţă criminală" în îngrijirile medicale acordate cântăreţului Michael Jackson, în special în ceea ce priveşte administrarea de propofol, un sedativ puternic, pe care megastarul îl folosea pe post de somnifer, care i-a cauzat decesul, pe 25 iunie 2009, la vârsta de 50 de ani.

CONRAD MURRAY VERDICT : GUILTY

Jurors in the involuntary manslaughter trial of Michael Jackson’s doctor have reached a verdict of Guilty on their second day of deliberations today.
After NINE hours of deliberations, a verdict will be announced in two hours, at 4PM ET. The seven men and five women on the jury are set to decide if Dr. Conrad Murray was negligent in his use of the surgical anesthetic, propofol to treat Michael Jacksons insomnia, and if he was responsible to the stars death. After hearing from 49 witnesses over 23 days, including Murray’s girlfriends, patients, Jackson’s past employees, investigators, and medical experts, Jurors have all ends covered. On friday, the jury deliberated for more than seven hours before telling the judge they had not reached a verdict and wanted to go home for the weekend.

At the courthouse, Jackson fans have shouted chants, waved signs and even argued with people supporting Murray at the courthouse. Today, they stand outside with candles, and more solemn messages. In order to get to the courthouse more quickly, Michael’s family members have even camped out at a hotel nearby so that they can get there ASAP.

Murray’s defense team is under an order from the judge not to talk to reporters about the case. While some say that Michael was addicted to Demoral, another doctor, Dr. Klein, explained he was “totally addicted to propofol.” He also stated that he tried to prevent this use when other doctors wanted to perscribe it to Jackson to aid his sleeping issues. Klein explains, “I knew this problem existed, I did my best to prevent it. Whenever I could, I prevented it, but I’m only one man and I have to support my own life and take care of myself.”

Prosecutor David Walgren explained on Thursday that the evidence that Murray caused Jackson’s death is “overwhelming” and “abundantly clear,” while Murray’s defense lawyer, Ed Chernoff argued that Murray did not commit a crime. Chernoff asked, “If it were anybody else but Michael Jackson, would this doctor be here today?”

Prosecutors argue that Murray’s use of propofol was negligent and state, “Conrad Murray left Prince, Paris and Blanket without a father. For them, this case doesn’t end today, or tomorrow. For Michael’s children, this case will go on forever, because they do not have a father. They do not have a father because of the actions of Conrad Murray.” He also argued that propofol was “a pharmaceutical experiment on Michael Jackson … an obscene experiment.”

Murray was painted as a selfish doctor who agreed to take $150,000 a month to give Jackson nightly treatments of propofol in his home.

If convicted, Conrad Murray, faces up to four years in prison and should also lose his medical license.
